The best viewpoints in Lisbon you cannot miss!

If you are visiting Lisbon, you can not miss the most beautiful and emblematic viewpoints of this magnificent city.

Nossa Senhora do Monte Viewpoint

It is the second and highest viewpoint of the neighborhood of Graça. With a beautiful view over the São Jorge Castle and downtown Lisbon, it is enjoyed daily by locals and frequently visited by tourists and photographers.

In order to be able to easily detect all the visible places from this viewpoint there is a panel made in tiles with the map of the city.

From this miradouro you can see the Tagus River, the 25th April Bridge, Graça Convent, Downtown Lisbon, between others. You have to check it out!

São Pedro de Alcântara Viewpoint

It is located on one of the most frequented slopes of the city near one of the busiest nightclubs – Bairro Alto. The viewpoint has an incomparable view of  São Jorge Castle and downtown Lisbon.

Enjoy this viewpoint while drinking a Portuguese treat at the terrace coffee shop.

You can easily reach this place by going up the Calçada da Glória or by the Glória Lift.

Torel viewpoint

Its the most central viewpoint of the city of Lisbon. It is a romantic spot – perfect for couples – with a wide view to the Liberdade Avenue and the São Roque hill.

Situated in one of Lisbon’s 7 hills, it is surrounded by a garden with a terrace, playground and palaces from the 18th and 19th centuries around.

Close to this place there is also what was the city’s first elevator – Lavra lift – from where you can also glimpse a magnificent panorama of Lisbon.

Miradouro do Torel

Graça viewpoint

The view over the city, the bridge and the river makes this place a must stop.

Also known as Miradouro Sophia de Mello Breyner its a perfect place to have lunch or a drink in the late afternoon.

Near this spot you can find the Graça Church, a XVIII Century monument
